Bladder Cancer

A close family friend was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer, and she will learn soon what her treatment will be. She mentioned different surgical options, and I want to learn more. Where should I look to learn more about her options?
A.The National Cancer Institute is a good place to start to find information about bladder treatment options. Additional organizations that provide information about bladder cancer treatment, as well as general bladder cancer information, include:

Going through a cancer diagnosis can be difficult and having emotional support from friends and family might not be enough. CancerCare offers many support services that might be helpful to you or your friend, including individual telephone counseling and telephone or online support groups. CancerCare support groups are moderated by professional oncology social workers. If you have any questions or need support, please feel to contact CancerCare at 800-813-HOPE (4673).
