Practical Programs

Brave Beauty in the Face of Cancer Kit

CancerCare's Women's Cancers Program and Sephora have partnered to provide women impacted by cancer in the tri-state area with a cosmetic bag filled with items from Sephora, including skin care and makeup products. To be eligible for this program, you must reside in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut. Registration is from September 12 to October 21 (or when capacity is reached). Any person who identifies as a woman age 18+ impacted by cancer is eligible (person diagnosed with cancer, caregiver or loved one, or the bereaved). Please contact your local Sephora with any questions about products and check with your doctor before using products.

Wig and Prosthesis Clinics
Our Wig and Prosthesis Clinics aim to empower individuals diagnosed with cancer to look and feel their best during treatment and beyond and to cope with dignity and confidence. Clients are offered personalized fittings and free products to improve their sense of well-being and receive psychosocial support from an oncology social worker. Clients can receive wigs through our NY (includes New York City and Long Island) and NJ offices, and breast prostheses through our NY (includes New York City and Long Island) office.
