Practical Programs

Wig and Prosthesis Clinics
Our Wig and Prosthesis Clinics aim to empower individuals diagnosed with cancer to look and feel their best during treatment and beyond and to cope with dignity and confidence. Clients are offered personalized fittings and free products to improve their sense of well-being and receive psychosocial support from an oncology social worker. Clients can receive wigs through our NYC and NJ offices, and breast prostheses through our NYC office.

Brave Beauty in the Face of Cancer Kit
CancerCare's Women's Cancers Program and Sephora have partnered together to provide women (any person who identifies as a woman 18+ impacted by cancer: person diagnosed, caregiver/ loved one, bereaved) impacted by cancer in the tri-state area with a cosmetic bag filled with items from Sephora including skin care and make up products. To be eligible for this program, you must reside in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut. Registration is from Wednesday, November 10 to Friday, December 3 (or when we hit capacity). Please check with your health care team about any potential issues with products.
