The Phi Beta Kappa New York Association Holiday Celebration and Toy Drive Donates Gifts to Families Affected by Cancer
CancerCare wishes to extend our warmest thanks to the Phi Beta Kappa (PBK) New York Association during this holiday season! The national academic honor society recently donated funds and gifts to CancerCare clients, as part of its 2018 Holiday Celebration & Toy Drive.
CancerCare’s Director of Education and Training, Dr. Carolyn Messner, DSW, OSW-C, LCSW-R, FAPOS, FAOSW is a long-time member of PBK and the current Vice President of the PBK New York Association. Dr. Messner shares: “We are so appreciative of the generosity of the PBK New York Association members who have donated toys, gifts and funds this year. This event is so important for children, teens and families affected by cancer during this time of year. Without these gifts, so many of the families we help might not have been able to purchase gifts due to their fatigue in coping with cancer, and the costs of care.”
