Description
Connect with others in our free, 15-week online support group for people who previously attended or are enrolled in CancerCare’s Healing Hearts Family Bereavement Camp. The Healing Hearts Online Support Group is a private message- board forum designed to support families both before and after camp. This space welcomes new and returning families to stay connected with others who share a similar journey.
In this group led by your camp coordinator, Cecilia Kuepper, members can share their personal experiences, ways of coping and helpful resources. We hope this space will allow new families to connect before arriving to camp-getting to know other parents, asking questions, learning what to expect, and feeling supported from day one. Returning families can reconnect with friends, offer guidance, and continue the bonds created at camp.
Our group:
- Connects you with other families experiencing grief and loss
- Reduces feelings of loneliness, anxiety and distress
- Helps you learn new ways of coping
- Increases feelings of hope and empowerment
- Provides you with practical information and resources
To join this group, you will need to complete our online registration process. After joining this password-protected group , you can read and post messages 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the duration of the group cycle.
