Healing Hearts Family Bereavement Camp

Our annual Healing Hearts Family Bereavement Camp is a free experience for families with children who have lost a loved one to cancer in the past two years. Families participate in both fun and therapeutic activities all while sharing precious memories of their loved ones. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and concerns for the health and safety of our families, staff and volunteers, our 2021 Healing Hearts Camp was successfully hosted via Zoom from June 11 to 13, with seven hours of programming throughout the weekend.

Next year’s Healing Hearts event is already in the works for June 10 to 12, 2022, and we hope to make it an in-person experience at Memorytown in Mount Pocono, PA. Families with children who have lost a loved one to cancer in the past two years are invited to join us.

For more information, please contact Claire Grainger, LCSW, at 201-301-6811 or cgrainger@cancercare.org or Kathy Nugent, LCSW, at 201-301-6809 or knugent@cancercare.org.
