Back-to-School Program

This program provides brand new backpacks and school supplies to children and teens affected by cancer. To be eligible for this program, you must reside in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut. This program is for children/teens diagnosed with cancer, children/teens with a loved one diagnosed with cancer and children/teens who have lost a loved one to cancer. If you have participated in this program before, preference will go to families who are participating for the first time.

Winter Warmth Program

This program provides warm winter accessories to children and teens affected by cancer. Packages include: a warm hat, gloves, scarf, fleece blanket and socks. To be eligible for this program, you must reside in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut. This program is for children/teens diagnosed with cancer, children/teens with a loved one diagnosed with cancer and children/teens who have lost a loved one to cancer. If you have participated in this program before, preference will go to families who are participating for the first time. Once registered, a CancerCare for Kids team social worker will reach out by phone or email.

Registration will be open from September 18th to October 16th. A limited number of packages will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Healing Hearts Family Bereavement Camp

A free overnight camp weekend from June 11-13, 2021 in the beautiful Poconos for families who have lost a loved one to cancer within the past two years. Fun recreational activities are combined with therapeutic grief activities to provide emotional support. Parents or guardians with children and teens ages 4 and up, who have lost a loved one to cancer within the past two years are eligible to attend. Activities include horseback riding, fishing, games, a campfire and remembrance ceremony. Activities begin Friday night and end Sunday afternoon.

Space is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to call to register with us today.
