Description

For those diagnosed with lung cancer, or caring for someone with a new diagnosis, there are several organizations and information packets out there for coping with diagnosis, treatment, and side effects.

With Lung Cancer being the top new cancer diagnosis for people in the United States, this workshop seeks to provide support and hope not only to the 16% of people diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer but also to those with more advanced stages of lung cancer and those caring for a loved one. This workshop will provide information about common mental stressors that come up post-treatment and ways to cope with them. It will feature 1-2 lung cancer survivors who can speak about their experience.

Facilitated by: Charlotte Ference, LMSW and Christine Calafiore, LSW
