Laurie shares, “For me, working at CancerCare is more of a calling than a job. It allows me to use my professional health care background and personal experience with illness to help others navigate their cancer journey. I feel privileged that our clients let me into their lives when they are going through such a life-altering experience. Whether I’m simply providing a listening ear or actively solving a problem, I know that every day I am helping someone, which is extremely rewarding.”

Fun fact: “Travel is my passion. I’ve hiked Machu Picchu, swam the Great Barrier Reef and skied the Matterhorn. My favorite way to spend a lazy day is with a good book, a pot of tea and a homemade scone. If I’ve had a rough day, I make a pot of soup and all seems right with the world again.”
