CancerCare is proud to have a staff of nearly 60 professional oncology social workers who, with their expertise in cancer and psychosocial issues, directly help more than 100,000 people each year. CancerCare’s Board of Trustees contributes knowledge, resources, and talents to the organization. CancerCare is grateful to all its supporters for their ongoing commitment and support.

Helen H. Miller, LCSW
Helen Miller is Chief Executive Officer of CancerCare, a national non-profit organization that provides free professional support services including counseling, education, financial assistance and practical help to people with cancer and their loved ones.
Ms. Miller began her career as a clinical social worker in cancer-related programs. She has extensive experience in directing a variety of cancer prevention and wellness programs for major cancer centers including Memorial Sloan-Kettering and New York Presbyterian Hospital. She also has a solid track record in non-profit executive management, and most recently served as Executive Director of The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia & Parkinson Foundation.
Ms. Miller holds a Master of Arts in Social Work from Columbia University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York and a member of both the Academy of Certified Social Workers and the National Association of Social Workers. She is also a Member of the Board for Health Advocates for Older People in New York.
