Director of Individual Giving

The Director of Individual Giving is responsible for providing strategic oversight and management of CancerCare’s principal and major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, and donor relations activities. This position will supervise staff and report directly to the Senior Director for Community Engagement. The Director will carry a portfolio of 50 to 70 principal gifts prospects capable of making contributions of $100,000+. S/he will work closely with CancerCare Trustees, executive leadership, staff, and volunteers to establish and manage donor relationships. The Director is a key figure in CancerCare’s fundraising initiatives, working closely with organizational leadership to secure funds and help to achieve a successful conclusion of yearly goals and overall organizational impact.

Director of Special Events

New York City

The Director of Special Events supervises a team of 4 staff and is responsible for the execution of all CancerCare special events for the New York and regional locations. Working in partnership with and reporting directly to the Senior Director of Community Engagement, the Events Director along with the events team will work closely with CancerCare Board Members and its Chief Executive Officer to achieve the revenue necessary to attain the fundraising goals.

CancerCare’s current special events include but are not limited to walks, galas and golf outings in New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut. The Director of Special Events is responsible for securing support from individuals, organizations and corporations to ensure the success of all fundraising events.
