Director of Special Events

The Director of Special Events supervises a team of 4 staff and is responsible for the execution of all CancerCare special events for the New York and regional locations. Working in partnership with and reporting directly to the Senior Director of Community Engagement, the Events Director along with the events team will work closely with CancerCare Board Members and its Chief Executive Officer to achieve the revenue necessary to attain the fundraising goals.

CancerCare’s current special events include but are not limited to walks, galas and golf outings in New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut. The Director of Special Events is responsible for securing support from individuals, organizations and corporations to ensure the success of all fundraising events.
