CancerCare’s Education Department seeks a full-time Education Outreach Coordinator who is responsible for the outreach and marketing activities of the Connect Education Workshops™ and the Education Department Initiatives. The Education Team is a department that provides up-to-date information and support for cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and health professionals through telephone and online workshops. CancerCare is a national nonprofit, organization that provides free, professional support services to anyone affected by cancer: people with cancer, caregivers, children, loved ones, and the bereaved. CancerCare programs—including counseling and support groups, education, financial assistance and practical help—are provided by professional oncology social workers and are completely free of charge.

Oncology Social Worker

Norwalk, CT

CancerCare seeks a full-time Master’s-level social worker with 1-3 years experience for our Norwalk, CT location to provide counseling, information, referrals and education over the telephone and face-to-face to people whose lives are affected by cancer. Primary focus is to address immediate concerns and problems, educate clients about CancerCare’s free services, assess need for follow-up counseling services, and make appropriate referrals to community services.
