The CancerCare Junior Committee is a group of young professionals dedicated to the mission of CancerCare. The purpose of the Junior Committee is to raise funds and awareness of CancerCare’s unique services through a variety of social and volunteer activities; and to create an exciting environment where young professionals can network and share their philanthropic interests.

Join us for the 3^rd Annual Walk for Hope in Pennsylvania by registering as an individual or create a team! Participants will enjoy a 2.5-mile walk through historic Milford borough along with entertainment, door prizes, and refreshments. This event also raises crucial funds for and increases awareness of the organization’s free, professional support services as well as the satisfaction of working together to make a difference.

Walk for Hope gives individuals and families the opportunity to honor those they have lost to cancer, celebrate those who are survivors, and give hope to those who are currently battling the disease.

Since 2006, CancerCare has been a beneficiary of the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women. This year we want you to join the CancerCare Team of runners, walkers, and volunteers in the fight against women’s cancers. With your help the CancerCare Team hopes to raise $10,000 to continue to provide free services to the women in our lives—our mothers, sisters, aunts and daughters. CancerCare is a participating charity in the 2012 TD Five Boro Bike Tour on Sunday, May 6. This event is a 40-mile ride for 30,000 cyclists car-free across New York City. We have 30 charity slots for the Bike Tour. Signing up through CancerCare reserves a spot for you near the starting line. The event sells out quickly so secure your spot today!

Taking place the first Sunday in May each year, the bike tour starts in Lower Manhattan. The ride heads north through the heart of Manhattan to Central Park and continues on to historic Harlem and the Bronx, returning south along the East River on the FDR Drive. From there it crosses into Queens and then Brooklyn, where cyclists take over the highway before making the thrilling climb up—and down—the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to Staten Island. The route is 42 miles, mostly flat except for the bridges.

CancerCare is a charity partner in Zazzle Bay to Breakers 12K Footrace on Sunday, May 20. This event is a historic run, with a sense of humor, across San Francisco. We have 20 charity slots for the run and invite you to become a part of CancerCare’s team today!

The 101-year old Zazzle Bay to Breakers 12K is one of the world’s largest and oldest footraces, held annually in San Francisco, California. The name reflects the traditional course which takes tens of thousands of participants from the northeast end of the downtown area near The Embarcadero (the “bay” side of the city) to the west end of the city and the “breakers” of Ocean Beach. The 7.46 mile (12 kilometer) race features world-class athletes in addition to costumed runners and ‘fun-loving’ folks out for a great day of running and walking through San Francisco.

A Taste for Hope^® showcases of North Jersey’s finest cuisine and area wine merchants. The event is presented by Unilever and will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the prestigious Royal Manor in Garfield, New Jersey, starting at 6:30 p.m. and featuring live entertainment and a chance auction. Proceeds from A Taste for Hope will ensure the continuity of CancerCare’s free, professional support services to individuals and families affected by cancer.

The CancerCare Annual Spring Gala is an opportunity for us to honor individuals and corporations that have made substantial contributions in supporting CancerCare and to improving the lives of people touched by cancer. This event also raises crucial funds for and increases awareness of the organization’s free, professional support services.

As the demand increases for CancerCare’s programs and services, the funds raised through this event are critical. This year we expect the Gala to raise over $600,000 through contributions, event ticket purchases, and journal advertisements. Sponsorships range from $10,000 to $100,000.
