Those who are impacted by cancer are oftentimes trying to navigate major changes that have occurred in their life due to cancer, whether it is a caregiver, a patient, or someone who is bereaved. Cancer impacts so many areas of life, and as a social worker I am able to provide a safe space, comfort, support, and skills in a group or individual setting to cope with these changes as well as coping with concrete challenges arise. Knowing I was able to help someone impacted by cancer fuels my passion to continue to do this work.”
