Description
Many families experience non-medical financial hardship directly related to caring for a loved one who has been prescribed CAR-T cell therapy as their treatment option. This specialized treatment can only be administered through an academic cancer center. The patient and their caregiver are required stay close to the treatment facility before, during and after treatment for approximately 4 to 8 weeks.
CancerCare recognizes the negative impact on the caregiver and has developed a program specifically for the caregiver, to help reduce the financial stress associated with caregiving for a loved one during CAR-T cell therapy.
