CancerCare’s Annual Walk for Hope Raises Over $80,000 To Support Long Island Community

On November 16, over 150 people participated in a family-friendly 5K walk at the Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course, in Woodbury, NY, to honor their loved ones and raise funds to support CancerCare. Thanks to the incredible turnout of the community, over $80,000 was raised to support the organization’s free emotional, practical and financial assistance.
Every November, CancerCare’s Long Island community comes together to support patients, survivors, caregivers and those honoring the memory of their loved ones. It’s a wonderful way for neighbors, schools, community groups and businesses to show up for each other.

Thank you to the generous support from participants, volunteers, sponsors and partners for making this year’s walk a success! Special thanks to Kim Pellizzi, CancerCare’s Walk for Hope Chair, and our Platinum Sponsors: The Butterflies, Gordon Brothers, Satty, Levine & Ciacco, CPAs, PC and Phyllis Sobel; Benefactor Sponsor: Merck; and Contributor Sponsors: Perlmutter Cancer Center NYU Langone Health and Natera.
