Your generosity helps ensure children can begin the school year with the supplies they need to learn, grow and thrive, even during one of the most difficult times in their family's life. Through CancerCare for Kids' Back-to-School Program, children in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut receive brand-new backpacks filled with age-appropriate school supplies, helping ease both financial and emotional stress for families affected by cancer.
Last year, 187 students from 67 families received backpacks packed with notebooks, binders, pencils, art supplies and more. Parents shared that the program brought peace of mind and allowed them to focus on their health and their families instead of worrying about the cost of back-to-school shopping.
