Providing Warmth, Comfort and Care During the Winter Season
As the chill of winter sets in, we reflect on the impact of our annual programs that bring warmth and joy to many lives. In December, our Coats for Comfort Program helped 137 people in the Tri-state area purchase warm winter coats, providing them with comfort and protection during the cold months.
In addition to ensuring physical warmth, our Holiday Gift Card Program has extended emotional warmth to families impacted by cancer. Last month, we reached 81 families and 216 children, easing financial burdens while bringing a sense of normalcy and joy during what can be an especially challenging time.
The heartfelt feedback we received from participants in our programs truly reflects this sentiment. Our holiday initiatives did more than distribute gift cards; they helped individuals feel seen, supported and genuinely cared for. Some of the responses we received captures the importance of these programs:
"Thank you! I got a long, grey, cozy winter coat. This made a real difference."
"How excited the kids will be! Thank you for helping us gift them the items they want- we wouldn’t have been able to purchase without this help!"
"I had today a double mastectomy and this was of perfect timing to come home tomorrow and share with my boys this nice holiday surprise from you guys."
"This is such an amazing gift. I am so honored."
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of our programs, including the Diana Napoli Fund. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to our dedicated social workers and Hopeline specialists for taking the time to share these programs with clients and assisting with registrations.
