Make a Tax-Smart Gift

There are many ways to support CancerCare beyond a traditional cash donation. Giving through a donor-advised fund (DAF) or making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA may offer valuable tax benefits while furthering the impact of your charitable dollars for people affected by cancer.

If you are interested in donating appreciated stock or securities, learn more >>.

Give Through a Donor-Advised Fund

If you have a donor-advised fund, or DAF, you can recommend a grant to CancerCare through your sponsoring organization.

How to make your gift:

  • Step 1: Log in to your donor-advised fund account or contact your fund administrator.
  • Step 2: Recommend a grant to CancerCare using the gift information below.
  • Step 3: If possible, ask your fund administrator to include your name and contact information so we can thank you for your generous support.

Make a Gift From Your IRA

If you are age 70½ or older, you may be eligible to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution, or QCD, directly from your IRA to CancerCare.

A QCD can be a tax-efficient way to support people with cancer. For donors who are required to take minimum distributions from their IRA, a qualifying gift may also count toward the required minimum distribution for the year.

How to make your gift:

  • Step 1: Contact your IRA administrator and request a Qualified Charitable Distribution to CancerCare.
  • Step 2: Ask your administrator to send the gift directly from your IRA to CancerCare using the gift information below.
  • Step 3: Let us know your gift is on the way. IRA gifts sometimes arrive without the donor's name, so notifying us helps ensure we can properly acknowledge your generosity.

Gift Information:

  • Legal Name: Cancer Care, Inc.
  • EIN: 13-1825919
  • Mailing Address:

    CancerCare
     Attn: Individual Giving
     485 Madison Avenue, 10th Floor
