“Marketplace” Highlights Financial Burden Imposed by New Cancer Drugs

American Public Radio’s popular “Marketplace” Health Desk featured CancerCare in a report by Helen Palmer on Tuesday, September 12, 2006. The segment, “Living Longer with Cancer Carries a Price,” focused on the high costs of the new targeted therapies for cancer and featured CancerCare employee Cindy Bass, who was diagnosed with lung cancer in 1997. It also included an interview with our director of patient assistance programs, Jane Levy.
