CancerCare

CancerCare is a national nonprofit organization that provides free professional support services to anyone affected by cancer: people with cancer, caregivers, children, loved ones, and the bereaved. CancerCare programs – including counseling, education, financial assistance and practical help – are provided by trained oncology social workers and are completely free of charge.

CancerCare’s National Office is in New York City, where we also serve thousands of people with cancer and their loved ones from the five boroughs. Since 1944, CancerCare’s has helped New Yorkers face the crisis of cancer.

Resources for the Russian Community

CancerCare and United Jewish Appeal (UJA) Federation of New York have collaborated to provide educational materials sensitive to the special needs of the Russian-speaking Jewish community in New York. Chapters on how to get quality medical care are available in both Russian and English.
