Connect Education Workshops

To people facing a cancer diagnosis, information is power. For 18 years, CancerCare has provided education and information to people facing cancer through its CancerCare Connect® Education Workshops. In fact, last year nearly 45,000 people listened in to the more than 50 Connect Education Workshops CancerCare offered.

Connect Education Workshops are live, one-hour discussions held over the telephone and led by oncology experts on a variety of cancer-related topics. Each workshop provides the latest information to cancer patients, survivors, loved ones, caregivers and health care professionals. Participants also have the opportunity to ask their questions and share their concerns with the nation's leading authorities on cancer-related topics.

One of the key benefits to the participant in a Connect Education Workshop is not having to worry about the travel, time and cost of being there in person. All he or she needs is a telephone line to access the most current, highest quality information available in an easy-to-understand format.

The workshops are available free of charge to anyone who registers, wherever in the world he or she lives. Workshop participants include people across the United States as well as internationally, from cities small and large, rural and urban.
