Sponsorship & Cause-Related Marketing Opportunities

CancerCare works with corporations to create customizable sponsorship opportunities. Corporations can choose to support specific programs including programs for specific cancer diagnoses (such as breast or lung cancer), CancerCare for Kids®, CancerCare Young Adults, publications such as CancerCare E-News, or one of our many special events.

CancerCare has worked with many corporations on successful cause-related marketing collaborations, including Tic Tac, Duncan Hines, and Tweezerman to name just a few.

Contact Christina Wyman, Senior Manager of Corporate Relations, for more information on sponsorship opportunities and cause-related marketing partnerships. For more information on opportunities for corporate foundations, contact Sue Lee, Director of Development, Institutional Giving.

Current Partners

CancerCare gratefully acknowledges the partners listed below for their support:

The Avon Foundation AvonCares Program
The Avon Foundation has generously supported CancerCare's financial assistance services to women with breast cancer since 2000. In addition to its generous funding of financial assistance services, the Foundation has also supported a host of educational programs and publications for women with breast cancer. Since the partnership began, more than 39,000 women from all 50 states have received crucial financial help for treatment-related expenses such as transportation, childcare, and homecare.
Tic Tac
Since 2005, Tic Tac® has been a leading cause-related marketing partner of CancerCare through its Tic Tac® Cares program. Prior campaigns have focused on supporting CancerCare's services to families dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis. In May 2008, Tic Tac created a special limited edition flavor, Pink Grapefruit, available exclusively at Walmart stores, in honor of Women's Healthcare Month. More recently, in August 2009, Tic Tac created and launched the Shake, Share, & Care campaign with a Guinness World Record attempt at ABC Studios in Times Square for the most number of Tic Tac Toe games played simultaneously for charity. Visit www.tictacusa.com for the latest updates on the brand.
Mary Kay Foundation Touching Hearts Program
The Mary Kay Foundation has provided financial assistance to women with all cancers since 2000, becoming an important source of assistance to the many women diagnosed with lung, colon, and a host of other cancers. Since its founding, the Touching Hearts Program has reached more than 10,000 women throughout the country with financial assistance and other support services. Read more about our Touching Hearts program and some of the women assisted.
The Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) Revlon Run/Walk in New York
Through the EIF's annual Revlon Run/Walk event in New York City, funding is provided for CancerCare's comprehensive program of outreach, counseling, education, information, financial assistance, and practical help to underserved women with cancer throughout New York City. Since the program began in 1998, critical services have been provided to nearly 10,000 New York City women affected by cancer. CancerCare also disbursed more than $1 million to women for cancer treatment-related costs such as transportation, pain medication, child care and homecare.
Tweezerman
Tweezerman's long-standing commitment to the fight against breast cancer has been established through the sale of its specially designed pink Slant® Tweezer, available for a limited time each Fall season. Tweezerman has designated CancerCare as a beneficiary of their awareness campaign since 2006, with proceeds supporting CancerCare's breast cancer programs. Tweezerman and CancerCare have also created a special "Day of Beauty" program that offers CancerCare clients free manicures, brow shaping, make up applications, and expert advice in a full day of beauty treatments to help them cope with treatment.
PaperPro
PaperPro® Staplers is a proud supporter of CancerCare's mission. In 2007 and 2008, through sales of specially marked Pink Ribbon versions of their innovative one-finger® stapling desktop, compact, and nano miniature staplers, a donation is made to CancerCare. PaperPro staplers are available wherever office products are sold.
AVON
Since 2006, AVON has supported CancerCare through year-round sales of its Avon Cares Gift Set which includes products that are formulated to help relieve the dry skin that is a frequent side effect of treatment. Gift sets are sent to CancerCare for distribution to clients. For every gift set sold, Avon Products also makes a cash contribution to CancerCare.
Whole Foods
Whole Foods involvement in CancerCare's Cupcakes for a Cause™ Week since 2005 has been an essential part of the campaign's incredible growth over the past few years. With the participation of locations throughout the tri-state area, Whole Foods has increased the awareness and visibility around the CancerCare for Kids® program through in-store signage and specially designed stickers on cupcakes packages.

1-800-FLOWERS.COM® is the 2009 Corporate Sponsor of Cupcakes for a Cause. Their generous support includes donating 10% of the net proceeds of the Cupcake in Bloom arrangement through participating BloomNet® florists as well as the creation of an exclusive Cupcakes for a Cause gift collection available online only at www.1800flowers.com. Reynolds Baking Cups is sponsoring the 2009 Cupcakes for a Cause Bake Sale Toolkit.
