A Look Ahead to CancerCare in 2013

In 2012, CancerCare helped more people than ever before, providing direct assistance and support to more than 110,000 people coping with cancer. Still, the need for free support services continues to grow.

In 2013, CancerCare will respond to this increased need by releasing dozens of new and updated publications, presenting Connect Education WorkshopsTM addressing a variety of new topics,  providing community programs to help people better manage the practical challenges of cancer, and by holding approximately 20 fundraising events across the country.

Visit our blog, CopeLink, to learn more about how CancerCare can help you in 2013.

Managing Your Cancer

Join A Support Group

Connect with others affected by cancer through CancerCare’s support groups. Groups are available online and over the telephone. Face-to-face groups are available in our offices in New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut.

We offer groups for patients, caregivers, loved ones, and those who have lost a loved one to cancer. All support groups are led by professional oncology social workers.

To learn more and register for a support group, visit cancercare.org/support_groups  or call 800-813-HOPE (4673).

In Your Words

“Thank you very much for awarding me a check for financial assistance. You will never know how much this means to me and my family. This disease may not be wanted, but it is so nice to know that there are organizations such as yours that help us during our time of need.”

—Deborah G.
