A Letter From Our Board of Trustees and Leadership Team
This year, CancerCare celebrated 75 years of providing help and hope to anyone affected by cancer. We have helped millions of people affected by cancer and distributed over $323 million in financial assistance since our founding in 1944.
Despite the dynamic changes we have witnessed in treatments and the health care industry, CancerCare’s growth and evolution have always been guided by the needs of patients, caregivers, loved ones and survivors. The significance of our services cannot be overstated, and the comprehensive network of support we offer is unparalleled in the oncology space.
Everything that we have achieved in the past 75 years has been made possible thanks to the trust of our clients and their families, the insights of experts and advocates, the generosity of our donors and sponsors and the passion of each and every CancerCare employee. We are grateful for your dedication to our mission.
At CancerCare, if it matters to you, it matters to us. What matters to our clients is affording practical and treatment needs associated with their disease; coping with the uncertainty of a cancer diagnosis; feeling connected to other survivors and caregivers; and so many more concerns that are sometimes overlooked. Below, we are humbled to share notes of appreciation from individuals who have benefitted from our services to address concerns such as these. These words are a testament to the power of emotional support, educational resources and financial assistance.
Thank you for making the work we do each day possible. The future is bright, and we are excited to accomplish even more in our next 75 years.
