CancerCare Receives Funding for Low-Income New Yorkers Facing a Cancer Diagnosis

CancerCare recently received a $700,000 grant from The New York Community Trust to provide financial assistance to low-income New Yorkers affected by cancer.

“The continued support of The New York Community Trust means the world to CancerCare,” said CancerCare CEO, Patricia J. Goldsmith. “These donations directly help New York families, who are coping with both the financial and emotional struggles of a cancer diagnosis. We’re so grateful for all that The New York Community Trust has done over the last 34 years for CancerCare.”

The New York Community Trust, one of the country’s largest community foundations, supports charities in the New York metropolitan area. Since the 1980s, The New York Community Trust has donated over $20 million in support of CancerCare’s mission.
