Director of Philanthropy
Steven Mark leads the effort to secure funding from donors of all levels to support CancerCare’s programs and mission as Director of Philanthropy. In coordination with CancerCare leadership, Mr. Mark forms and executes a strategic plan aimed at expanding the organization’s presence in the tri state and national philanthropic community. Prior to joining CancerCare, Mr. Mark was the Director of Development for New York Medical College, where he served as a member of the leadership team responsible for fundraising and alumni relations for the School of Medicine, School of Public Health, and School of Basic Sciences. Additionally, he led the initial campaign to fund a new dental school, which opened the doors to its first class of students this past July. Throughout his career Mr. Mark has held senior development positions and worked on behalf of the Jewish community and animal welfare. Mr. Mark holds a master’s degree from the Yeshiva University Wurzweiler School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Science degree from Hofstra University.
