with Cancer and Their Loved Ones

WOODBURY, N.Y., May 10, 2006--CancerCare of Long Island today announced its honorees for its Gold Coast Gala, which annually raises almost $200,000 to benefit the organization's free social services for Long Island residents affected by cancer. The 2006 Honorees are: Deborah S. Sarnoff, M.D. and Robert H. Gotkin, M.D. of COSMETIQUE Dermatology, Laser & Plastic Surgery, LLP; Joe Dussich of JAD Corporation; and John Venditto, Supervisor, Town of Oyster Bay.

"This year, CancerCare of Long Island will serve 15,000 Long Island residents affected by cancer, thanks to the generosity and support of our Gold Coast Gala Honorees," said Rhonda Samuel, President of the Board of Managers, CancerCare of Long Island. "The evening will be a gathering of concerned people from throughout Long Island who want to ensure that their neighbors affected by cancer have access to CancerCare's invaluable support services."

As long-time volunteers, Deborah S. Sarnoff, M.D. and Robert H. Gotkin, M.D. have helped CancerCare of Long Island in many ways, from providing free educational programs on skin cancer prevention to Dr. Sarnoff's service on the CancerCare of Long Island Board of Managers. Joe Dussich of JAD Corporation is being honored for his commitment to the Long Island community.

John Venditto, Supervisor of the Town of Oyster Bay, has been instrumental in the success of CancerCare of Long Island's events, especially its annual Lung Cancer Walk, Prostate Cancer Walk, and His/Hers Walk for Life. "Supervisor Venditto is a leading role model for how elected officials can form a meaningful partnership with their local charities," said Ms. Samuel. "He always lends a helping hand for CancerCare's cause and residents across Long Island benefit from CancerCare services. We are so grateful for his dedication and committed support."

The Gold Coast Gala will be held on June 8, 2006 at The Carltun, Eisenhower Park, East Meadow. Cocktails and silent auction begin at 6:30; dinner and dancing begin at 7:30. Individual tickets are $250; table sponsorship is $3,000, which includes a full-page ad in the commemorative journal.
