Our programs – including counseling, education, financial assistance and practical help – are provided by trained oncology social workers and are completely free of charge.

What are CancerCare Connect® Telephone Education Workshops?
CancerCare Connect® Telephone Education Workshops are free educational seminars for people living with cancer, their families, friends, and healthcare professionals. The workshops are a way for people across the country and internationally to learn about cancer-related issues from the convenience of their home or office. Leading experts in oncology provide the most up-to-date information on the telephone. There is also a question and answer session during each workshop.
How do I participate in a Telephone Education Workshop?
All you need is a telephone to participate in a Telephone Education Workshop. Participation is free, and no phone charges apply.
What other services does CancerCare provide for people with
cancer?
CancerCare can help any one of the 1.3 million Americans diagnosed with cancer this year through our various programs and services. In addition to CancerCare Connect® Telephone Education Workshops, we:
- Publish educational materials, including Understanding and Managing Chemotherapy Side Effects and our “Chemobrain Information Series,” four fact sheets that focus on memory and thinking problems associated with chemotherapy. You can request free printed copies of any CancerCare publication with our online publications order form, or you can download them in PDF format.
- Provide individual counseling and telephone and online support groups, each moderated by a professional oncology social worker.
- Offer financial assistance for people who are struggling with cancer-related costs such as pain medication, transportation to and from treatment, home care and child care.
