The following resources can help you find the additional information and support you may need.  We also suggest speaking with a local social worker, nurse, or physician for resources in your community.

General Cancer Organizations

CancerCare

Provides free professional support services to anyone affected by cancer including counseling, education, financial assistance and practical help and are provided by trained oncology social workers free of charge.
American Cancer Society

Focuses on cancer research, education and advocacy; and provides patient and family support services, which vary by locality.
Gilda's Club

Support and networking groups, lectures, workshops and social events are available for people with all kinds and stages of cancer.
National Cancer Institute (NCI)

Information specialists can answer questions about cancer and provide materials. The NCI website provides comprehensive information on cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, statistics, research, clinical trials and news.
National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship

Advocates for quality cancer care for all Americans and the empowerment of cancer survivors through federal policy initiatives.
Wellness Community

Offers professionally led support groups, educational workshops and mind/body programs.

Lung Cancer Resources

LungCancer.org is a program of CancerCare, a national nonprofit organization that provides free, professional support services to anyone affected by cancer: people with cancer, caregivers, children, loved ones, and the bereaved. The goal of LungCancer.org is to be a source of support and information for our lung cancer patients and their loved ones.
Lung Cancer Alliance

Programs include the Lung Cancer Hotline, a toll-free information and referral service for people with lung cancer and their caregivers, a peer-to-peer support network and newsletter.
Lung Cancer Online Foundation

Funds lung cancer research and provides information to patients and families via its website, which has a directory of lung cancer resources for medical care, support services, treatment information and quality-of-life concerns.
Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation

Advances research for mesothelioma treatment through a scientific peer-reviewed grant program. Also helps patients and families obtain the best medical information about the disease and new treatments.
National Lung Cancer Partnership

Services include raising awareness of the lung cancer epidemic, particularly in women, increasing funding for lung cancer research, supporting and encouraging research in sex differences in lung cancer.
