The following resources can help you find the additional information and support you may need.  We also suggest speaking with a local social worker, nurse, or physician for resources in your community.

Provides free professional support services to anyone affected by cancer including counseling, education, financial assistance and practical help and are provided by trained oncology social workers free of charge.
American Cancer Society

Focuses on cancer research, education and advocacy; and provides patient and family support services, which vary by locality.
Gilda's Club

Support and networking groups, lectures, workshops and social events are available for people with all kinds and stages of cancer.
National Cancer Institute (NCI)

Information specialists can answer questions about cancer and provide materials. The NCI website provides comprehensive information on cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, statistics, research, clinical trials and news.
National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship

Advocates for quality cancer care for all Americans and the empowerment of cancer survivors through federal policy initiatives.
Wellness Community

Oral Cancer Foundation

Nonprofit organization designed to reduce suffering and save lives through prevention, education, research, advocacy, and support activities for people with oral cancer and their loved ones.
Support for People with Oral and Head and Neck Cancer (SPOHNC)

Patient-directed, self-help organization dedicated to meeting the needs of oral and head and neck cancer patients.
Yul Brynner Head and Neck Cancer Foundation

Provides support for patients, educates the public about cancer, treatment, and prevention, and supports ongoing research in head and neck oncology.
EyeCare Foundation

Provides patient support (including educational materials and online support groups) for patients diagnosed with ocular tumors, macular degeneration and related eye diseases. Also supports research of new treatments and cures.
