Spring is finally here, and it’s time to get outside and enjoy some of that nice, warm sunshine! We invite you to get active with Team CancerCare, and use your next walk, run or ride to help us continue to provide free services for anyone affected by cancer. We have two exciting events coming up next week – we hope to see you there!

Support CancerCare on May 3 as we bike the five boros at the TD Five Boro Bike Tour! Over the past five years, the members of the CancerCare Bike Tour team have raised more than $200,000 for CancerCare’s services and spread awareness of the resources we offer. Registration for the event is closed, but you can still sponsor one of our cyclists and read about why they ride for CancerCare.

Also on May 3, CancerCare is set to host its Third Annual Walk/Run for Hope in Greenwich, Connecticut. The Walk/Run for Hope is a series of family-friendly 5K events, and walkers and runners of all levels and ages are welcome to participate. There’s still time to join a team, participate as an individual, sponsor a participant or volunteer! Many thanks to our sponsors for making this event possible: Fleet Feet Sports, Teva, Becker Salon, Genentech and TMK Sports & Entertainment, as well as our media sponsors: News 12 Connecticut, WGCH 1490 AM, Serendipity Magazine and Jen Danzi.

Can’t make it on May 3, but still want to contribute your support? Guess what – you can start your own fundraising event with Team CancerCare! There’s no limit to the types of events you can organize: hikes, book signings, musical performances, bake sales, etc. Your support will make it possible for more people across the country to receive our free services, which include counseling, support groups, education and financial assistance.
