Living With Cancer: Men With Cancer Support Group

A diagnosis of cancer can come when you least expect it. Suddenly your world has changed. You may feel overwhelmed and anxious and have questions about what lies ahead. The opportunity to connect with others living with cancer can help you feel less alone.
Description
CancerCare is offering a free, bi-weekly live support group for men living in New York state who have been diagnosed with cancer. This group will run for 8 sessions and will provide an opportunity for members to share their experiences, engage in mutual support and share information and resources with other men coping with a cancer diagnosis.
Our Groups:
- Provide cancer-focused support
- Reduce feelings of loneliness, anxiety and distress
- Help increase feelings of hope and empowerment
- Assist you in learning new ways of coping
- Help you improve communication with your medical team and loved ones
- Provide you with practical information about treatment
- Provide you with resources in your community
Start Date:
We are currently recruiting for our next group cycle which begins on June 10, 2024. This support group meets bi-weekly on Mondays from 5:30–7 p.m. ET.
This group will utilize a secure video platform. Group members will still have the option to call in if they do not have access to video technology.
